The Three Fates (Kea, Kaka and Kakapo)
Part of my 'Tales of the Faether' exhibition.
The three spinning goddesses of fate, Clotho (spinner), Lachesis (allotter) and Atropos (untenable) controlled the metaphorical thread of life of every mortal from birth to death. Spinning wheel has long been important in folklore. It is a link to the supernatural, a symbol of female, a weapon of magic, a weaver of peace and has the power to enchant. Here's hoping for a good cable-knit number.
